The Hong Kong Monetary Authority published the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s analytical data on foreign currency reserves and foreign currency liquidity as at end-September 2025, using the Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity required under the International Monetary Fund’s Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS). It also set out the 2026 release calendar for the monthly template publication. For 2026 reference months, the template is scheduled for release on 27 February 2026 (January), 31 March 2026 (February), 30 April 2026 (March), 29 May 2026 (April), 30 June 2026 (May), 31 July 2026 (June), 31 August 2026 (July), 30 September 2026 (August), 30 October 2026 (September), 30 November 2026 (October), 31 December 2026 (November) and 29 January 2027 (December). The HKMA also reiterated that it issues four Exchange Fund data press releases each month, comprising three SDDS monetary data releases and a separate release on the Exchange Fund’s abridged balance sheet and Currency Board Account. In October 2025, the SDDS releases on foreign currency reserve assets and on the analytical accounts of the Exchange Fund were issued on 8 October and 14 October.
