The Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan reported that Finance Minister Fayziddin Sattor Kahhorzoda took part in a meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states in Bishkek. The meeting focused on strengthening financial cooperation, improving mechanisms for economic cooperation, responding to current threats and challenges in the global financial system, and advancing the digitalisation of public finance. In his remarks, the minister said Tajikistan supports stronger multilateral cooperation within the organisation and sees financial and economic cooperation as a key area for its further development. Tajikistan highlighted macroeconomic stability, investment cooperation and the use of modern digital technologies in public finance management, and voiced support for expanding investment links, developing digital cooperation and accelerating the initiative to establish a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Development Bank. Participants also expressed readiness to deepen financial and economic cooperation in support of sustainable development across member states.
