The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) published an overview of its participation in Almedalsveckan 2025, setting out nine seminars taking place between 24 and 26 June on fraud and cyber security, the resilience and inclusiveness of digital payments, climate adaptation, and household indebtedness with a focus on young people. Acting Director General Malin Alpen is scheduled to participate in panels on payment system exclusion, the risks and opportunities of digitalisation, and fraud prevention, including discussions on persistent issues with BankID-related fraud. Sustainability head Emilia Högquist will take part in sessions on Sweden’s readiness for extreme weather and climate adaptation, while consumer protection economist Moa Langemark will contribute to seminars on over-indebtedness, youth debt, and financial education. Acting head of Payments Marie Jesperson will participate in discussions on strengthening preparedness for digital payments and protecting consumers from fraud.
