The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission announced that the Investors Compensation Fund has withdrawn the membership of VM Vita Markets Ltd and HTFX (EU) Ltd, following CySEC’s withdrawal of the firms’ Cyprus Investment Firm authorisations. The membership withdrawal was made under paragraph 6 of CySEC Directive DI87-07 on the operation of the Investors Compensation Fund. CySEC noted that, under paragraph 6(3), loss of membership does not remove covered clients’ rights to compensation for investment operations carried out until the loss of membership status if the Directive’s conditions are met, and it does not prevent the compensation procedure from being initiated.
