The National Bank of Angola, in partnership with the Capital Markets Commission and the Angolan Agency for Insurance Regulation and Supervision (ARSEG), announced the 14th edition of Global Money Week, scheduled for 16–20 March in Luanda and across its regional and provincial delegations under the theme “Smart Conversations about Money”. The initiative sits within the central bank’s Financial Education and Financial Inclusion Programme. Global Money Week is a worldwide financial education campaign organised by the OECD’s International Network on Financial Education, aimed at strengthening children’s and young people’s skills for conscious, responsible and sustainable financial management. Over five days, activities across Luanda, Benguela, Cabinda, Cuando Cubango, Huambo, Huíla, Malange, Uíge, Moxico and Cuanza Norte will include talks, financial literacy sessions, and awareness campaigns promoting the opening of bank accounts and electronic money accounts, involving national financial system supervisors, commercial banks, mobile payment service providers, public and private sector partners, and academics.
