Indonesia's Financial Services Authority appointed seven officials at deputy commissioner, department head and unit head level, strengthening its leadership and institutional capacity for existing responsibilities and its new mandate over the Mineral and Strategic Commodities Exchange. The authority is preparing regulatory, licensing and supervisory functions for the exchange under amendments to the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law. The appointments include dedicated heads for regulation and licensing, and for supervision of institutions and transactions, at the Mineral and Strategic Commodities Exchange. Other appointments cover information systems and regional operations, organizational transformation, actuarial matters, capital markets and derivatives, the carbon exchange, international affairs, and anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing.
