The Bank of Indonesia published its April 2026 broad money statistics showing that M2 remained in positive growth but slowed to 9.2% year on year from 9.7% in March, reaching IDR 10,253.7 trillion. Growth was supported by narrow money, which rose 13.6% year on year, and quasi-money, which increased 4.7%. The M2 outturn was driven mainly by net claims on central government and disbursed loans. Net claims on central government grew 38.6% year on year after 39.1% in March, while disbursed loans accelerated to 9.4% from 8.9%.
