Egypt’s Ministry of Finance reported that Finance Minister Kouchouk called for stronger cooperation with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank on sustainable infrastructure, climate resilience and projects connecting Asia and Africa. He identified the green transition, regional connectivity and transport as priority areas for expanding the partnership. Kouchouk also emphasized diversifying financing sources and instruments to lower development costs and attract private investment. Egypt is seeking innovative financing mechanisms, as well as more concessional and catalytic funding from international institutions, to support investment in priority sectors.
