The Financial Conduct Authority has warned customers of Anthony Jones (UK) Limited after the insurance broker agreed, from 9 July 2026, to stop carrying out any regulated activity. As a result, the firm cannot provide services on behalf of an insurer, including selling new policies, offering renewals or giving advice to new or existing consumers. Customers who bought insurance through the broker should contact the underwriter or insurer directly to confirm that their policy is valid and that cover remains in place. The FCA said customers should also check that any payments made through Anthony Jones (UK) Limited have been received by the insurer. The restrictions remain in force while the FCA continues engaging with the firm. The notice also states that Anthony Jones (UK) Limited is an insurance intermediary rather than an insurer or underwriter, and that complaints should first be made to the firm before being referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service if unresolved after eight weeks or if no response is received.
