The Bahamas Ministry of Finance Competent Authority advised financial institutions that the statutory FATCA and CRS reporting deadline for the 2025 reporting period remains June 30, 2026. However, administrative penalties will not be imposed for FATCA and CRS reports filed on or before July 31, 2026. The penalty concession applies only to the 2025 reporting period. For subsequent years, the standard June 30 reporting deadline will apply, and late filings may be subject to applicable penalties. The notice also reminds Reporting Financial Institutions, including those with no reportable accounts, and Non-Reporting Financial Institutions that the mandatory CRS registration deadline remains June 15, 2026. Financial institutions or service providers with 200 or more entities to register may request access to a bulk registration facility after first confirming with their designated supervisory authority that they will use the facility.
