The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission took part in the 24th National Life Insurance Day event, opening the programme at Central Westgate in Nonthaburi under the theme 'Parallel Wellbeing, Connecting Every Life, Transforming the Future'. The event focused on strengthening public understanding of life and health insurance as protection against future uncertainty, including illness, natural disasters, and Thailand’s transition to an ageing society. The programme was organised jointly by the Thai Life Assurance Association, the Thai Life Insurance Agent and Financial Advisor Association, the Life Insurance Fund, and the Thailand Office of Insurance Commission. The Office’s deputy secretary-general for strategy and technology highlighted life and health insurance as a key tool for structured financial planning, while noting that Thai life insurance penetration remains low compared with developed countries and pointing to the need for cooperation and service innovation to broaden coverage. Activities included insurer booths, insurance information services, financial guidance, event-only promotions, and onsite consultation by Office staff, alongside a blood donation campaign that has collected 7,536,300 cc against a 10 million cc target. The Office and life insurance industry bodies indicated they will continue promoting life insurance as a risk-management tool and a long-term savings mechanism.
