The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates to strengthen cooperation, experience-sharing and information exchange across the financial sector, following meetings in Abu Dhabi between the two central bank chairs. The MoU envisages cooperation on banking, insurance, payment services, payment systems and other areas of financial markets, including discussions on relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks. It also covers assessing the potential mutual integration of retail payment systems such as fast payment systems, exchanging information on advanced practices, and organising meetings, courses, seminars and working visits on topics of mutual interest.
