The Board of the Chile Financial Market Commission (CMF) sanctioned Paulo Gorichon Bengoechea and Gonzalo Bofill Velarde for acquiring Valparaíso Sporting Club S.A. shares within the prohibited trading window, breaching Article 16, Number 5 of the Securities Market Law. The rule bars directors, managers, administrators and main executives of issuers of publicly offered securities, as well as their spouses, domestic partners and close relatives, from directly or indirectly transacting in the issuer’s securities during the 30 days prior to the disclosure of quarterly or annual financial statements. Gorichon was fined UF 300 for acquiring 11 shares valued at CLP 56.2 million through Inversiones Dicato Limitada while serving as a director (Exempt Resolution No. 12,404), and Bofill was fined UF 200 for acquiring five shares valued at CLP 25 million through Principado de Asturias S.A. while serving as a director (Exempt Resolution No. 12,400).
