The Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) announced that the Moldovan Banks Association (ABM) has joined the network, taking SBFN’s membership to 100. ABM, a nonprofit banking-sector association established in 1993, has recently engaged in sustainable finance capacity-building, including participation in a March 2024 training of trainers on sustainable finance and ESG for banking associations. In Moldova, ABM is part of the interagency steering committee on climate finance and the National Bank of Moldova’s Sustainable Finance Working Group supporting implementation of the central bank’s Sustainable Finance Roadmap adopted in May 2024. The National Bank of Moldova joined SBFN in November 2023, creating dual membership from both the central bank and the banking association.
