The National Bank of Ukraine has opened a call for papers for its Young Researcher Forum, an in-person event in Kyiv on 4 June 2026 aimed at presenting and discussing research on economic issues relevant to central bank policy. The programme will include a lecture by Priscilla Toffano, the International Monetary Fund’s Resident Representative in Ukraine. Participants can submit either near-complete papers for presentation or extended abstracts and research proposals for poster sessions. The forum’s overarching theme is how central banks operate under high uncertainty, full-scale war, and structural economic change, with suggested topics spanning monetary policy and macroeconomic stability under severe shocks, financial stability and lending development, economic recovery and European integration, and digitalisation, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence. All participants will receive certificates, while the best papers may receive prizes and an internship opportunity at the National Bank of Ukraine. An online explanatory session with National Bank of Ukraine experts is scheduled for 16 April 2026 to cover research priorities and submission requirements. Papers, extended abstracts, or proposals must be submitted in PDF by 10 May 2026, and authors of accepted work are to be notified by 15 May 2026.
