The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina reported that Vice Governor Marko Vidakovic attended the Dutch-Belgian Constituency’s high-level conference in Amsterdam, organised by the Netherlands Bank, which focused on “Dealing with geo-economic fragmentation” and macroeconomic policy in a challenging geopolitical environment. The conference, alternately hosted since 2014 by the National Bank of Belgium and the Netherlands Bank, brought together constituency central bank heads and was opened by Netherlands Bank Governor Klaas Knot, who also chairs the Financial Stability Board and sits on the Bank for International Settlements’ board. Discussions covered the impact of geopolitical shocks including wars, energy crises and global market turbulence on member economies, central banks’ responsibilities for financial stability and economic growth, and specific risk management approaches; Vidakovic highlighted the need for timely, coordinated responses and flexibility in macroeconomic policy, alongside continued international cooperation and knowledge exchange.
