The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic announced that metal DOP 5 coins dated 2024 will begin circulating from 2 February 2026. The coins have the same characteristics as the DOP 5 coins currently in circulation, with the only change being the minting year, and they will remain legal tender for payment of all public and private obligations.

Central Bank of the Dominican Republic to put DOP 5 coins dated 2024 into circulation from 2 February 2026
The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic announced that metal DOP 5 coins dated 2024 will begin circulating from 2 February 2026. The new coins are identical in characteristics to existing DOP 5 coins apart from the minting year and will remain legal tender for all public and private payments.
