The Guernsey Financial Services Commission has welcomed the appointment of Peter Deacon as the Bailiwick’s first Finance Sector Concierge. Deacon, a former J.P. Morgan vice president in Hong Kong, began the role on Aug. 1 and will provide an early single point of contact for businesses, investors and advisers considering Guernsey. Created following a recommendation in Guernsey’s Finance Sector Growth Strategy 2035, the role is intended to help prospective applicants develop well-formed plans and realistic regulatory expectations. The concierge will work with the Commission, Guernsey Finance, Locate Guernsey and the Bailiwick’s professional firms.
