The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has released its January 2026 financial statistics for other financial institutions (non-banks), covering other financial intermediaries, insurance companies and pension funds. Assets of other financial intermediaries stood at EUR 755.97m at end-January 2026, up EUR 8.94m (1.20%) from the previous month. Their gross loans reached EUR 557.81m, increasing by EUR 5.93m, with household lending accounting for 58.83% of total loans; new lending during the month totalled EUR 50.52m. Insurance companies’ assets rose to EUR 363.87m, up about EUR 5.23m, with assets held mainly as balances with commercial banks (49.35%), securities and other assets (25.51%) and reinsurance participations (14.49%). Pension fund assets reached EUR 3.86bn, dominated by shares and equity securities at 79.77% of total assets.
