The Angola Capital Markets Commission, represented by Executive Administrator Vasco Januário, participated in the Catholic University of Angola’s conference “Fintech: The Future of Finance and Technology in Angola” and outlined the regulator’s view of key challenges and opportunities in financial innovation. Speaking on the panel “Fintechs, Regulation and Security in Finance”, he highlighted measures including the legal framework for crowdfunding, the digitalisation of access to investment funds, and the promotion of digital financial literacy. The event, organised by UCAN’s Centre for Social Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship as part of the 50th anniversary of national independence celebrations, brought together academics, entrepreneurs and national regulators to discuss the future of digital finance and financial inclusion in Angola.
