The National Bank of Ukraine published an update on the special fundraising account it opened to support the defense forces, showing a balance of more than UAH 2.9 billion as of 1 May 2026. The account received over UAH 178 million in April, bringing total inflows since 24 February 2022 to nearly UAH 155.5 billion equivalent, including almost UAH 133.4 billion remitted from abroad in foreign currencies. Contributions came from individuals and businesses in Ukraine and from the international community. Since the start of the full-scale war, almost UAH 153.6 billion has been allocated from the account, including about UAH 2 billion in April 2026. The largest cumulative amounts have gone to the Defence Procurement Agency at over UAH 97.5 billion and the Ministry of Defence at over UAH 38.4 billion, alongside allocations to the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection, regional military administrations, the National Guard, the National Police, the Main Directorate of Intelligence, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service and other defense and security bodies. More than UAH 275 million of previously unused funds from the Ministry of Defence was returned in April.

The National Bank of Ukraine reported that its special fundraising account to support the defense forces held over UAH 2.9 billion as of 1 May 2026, after receiving more than UAH 178 million in April and cumulative inflows of nearly UAH 155.5 billion equivalent since 24 February 2022. Since the start of the full-scale war, almost UAH 153.6 billion has been allocated, primarily to the Defence Procurement Agency (over UAH 97.5 billion) and the Ministry of Defence (over UAH 38.4 billion), with over UAH 275 million of unused ministry funds returned in April.
