Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) announced that its president, Roberto E. Silva, has been re-elected by member-state vote as the Inter-American Regional Committee (IARC) representative to the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) for the 2026–2028 term. The mandate is due to begin at the virtual meeting scheduled for 12 May that will inaugurate IOSCO’s new Board, the organisation’s governing and standard-setting body made up of securities regulators from major markets. CNV noted that the elected position is held by the Argentine commission rather than personally by Silva and that it plans to continue advancing the regional agenda within IOSCO, including by fostering active participation across IARC members and increasing the visibility of Inter-American priorities on the Board.
