Finland’s Financial Supervisory Authority has opened applications for Director General, a five-year appointment responsible for organizing the authority’s work to safeguard stability and confidence in Finland’s financial sector. The role also involves European supervisory and regulatory work with the European Central Bank and European supervisory authorities. Candidates must have an appropriate higher university degree, financial markets expertise and proven management skills. The current Parliamentary Supervisory Council intends to make the appointment in early 2027, and applications are due by noon on Oct. 5, 2026.
