Trinidad and Tobago’s Ministry of Finance published a release on Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo’s introductory meeting with the CAF Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, focused on ongoing initiatives supported by CAF and positioning the bank as the country’s principal multilateral development partner. The update also notes that Trinidad and Tobago has assumed the chairmanship of CAF’s Board of Directors for a one-year term. CAF engages with Trinidad and Tobago through the Ministry of Finance as the official focal point, providing loan financing and technical assistance across areas including flood mitigation, corporate governance for state-owned entities, digital payments and e-identity, and public procurement. The chairmanship was assumed during CAF’s CLXXXIV Board of Directors meeting held on 27 March in Santiago, Chile.
