The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) authorised the creation of 13 new CEDEAR programmes representing exchange-traded funds (ETFs) whose underlyings are indices listed abroad, using the framework enabled by General Resolution No. 1030. The approved CEDEAR programmes cover a range of index exposures across sectors including biotechnology, real estate, health care and technology, and include products such as iShares Core MSCI Europe ETF, iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology ETF, Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF, iShares S&P 500 Value ETF, iShares S&P 500 Growth ETF and multiple Select Sector SPDR Funds. The programmes specify CEDEAR-to-share ratios (ranging from 9/1 to 46/1) and maximum issuance amounts (ranging from 3,900,000 to 4,150,000 CEDEARs), with examples noting that IEUR tracks a developed Europe equity index and VEA tracks the FTSE Developed All Cap ex US index.
