Central Bank of Jordan revises RTGS-JO and retail payments system operating hours effective 4 January 2026

The Central Bank of Jordan has decided to amend the operating hours of the Instant Gross Settlement System (RTGS-JO) and several retail payment systems, following coordination with the systems’ managers. The revised schedule applies from Sunday, 4 January 2026. Under the new hours, RTGS-JO will run an exchange period from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, followed by a liquidity period starting at 4:00 PM. For the Electronic Cheque Clearing System (ECC), the submission session will end at 2:00 PM and the response session at 3:25 PM, with a commission session at 11:00 AM and net clearing result submission times at 10:30 AM and 3:50 PM. ACH-JO session end times will be 10:30 AM (Morning One), 1:00 PM (Morning Two) and 3:30 PM (Afternoon). The Instant Payment System (Click/Jumobi) will end its first, second and third sessions at 9:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:15 PM respectively, with a commission session ending at 3:25 PM. For E-Fawateercom, clearing file timings will be: first clearing files (session end 8:30 AM, file time 8:40 AM), second (session end 12:30 PM, file time 12:40 PM) and third (session end 3:40 PM, file time 3:50 PM).
