The National Bank of Ukraine has revised balance of payments indicators for 2020–2025 and the first quarter of 2026 after receiving corrected customs data for goods sent through international postal and express deliveries. The revisions reduced the reported current account deficit in every affected period, with the largest adjustment being a USD 4.6 billion reduction for 2025. The corrected data addressed inaccuracies linked mainly to changes in customs declaration procedures, the transition to electronic declarations and the use of different internal reporting sources. The current account deficit was revised downward by USD 0.6 billion for 2020, USD 0.8 billion for 2021, USD 0.1 billion for 2022, USD 0.3 billion for 2023, USD 1.0 billion for 2024 and USD 1.2 billion for the first quarter of 2026. New reporting on international technical assistance, foreign trade in services and private remittances also affected the 2025 and first-quarter 2026 figures.
