The Central Bank of Seychelles has announced a public expression of interest process to build a list of potential Non-Executive Board Directors for future board appointments. These directors do not participate in daily management and instead provide independent oversight and strategic guidance. This is the first time the bank has made a public call for candidates under its Non-Executive Director Recruitment Policy, and inclusion on the list does not amount to an appointment. The list is intended to support timely appointments when vacancies arise, with two Non-Executive Director seats currently vacant on the nine-member board. Eligible candidates must hold an advanced degree in fields such as finance, banking, economics, auditing, compliance, risk management, information technology, accounting, human resources or law, and have at least eight years of professional experience, including five years in senior leadership. The Central Bank of Seychelles Act also sets ineligibility criteria. The application window opens on May 21, 2026 and closes on June 10, 2026. The Nomination and Remuneration Committee will assess submissions, applicants will be informed of the outcome, and candidates may face further assessment and interviews when vacancies arise.
