The Bank of Cape Verde reported that Governor Óscar Santos and Alice Benchimol, Coordinator for Monetary, Financial and Foreign Exchange Statistics, participated in the African Development Bank’s 60th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors and the African Development Fund’s 51st Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, held from 26 to 30 May 2025. The meetings focused on identifying opportunities and implementing specific policies intended to make Africa’s human, natural, financial and business capital a driver of structural transformation and a transition to more inclusive, greener and more resilient economies. Discussions covered digital transformation, institutional strengthening and good governance, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris climate agreement, Agenda 2063, and the African Development Bank’s “High 5” strategic priorities.
