Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan urged governments to protect the foundations of economic growth while addressing the costs and financing needs associated with resilience. Speaking at the third G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting under the United States presidency, he called for international cooperation to support economic stability amid recurring global disruptions. Aljadaan said reliable and affordable energy supplies and uninterrupted flows of essential commodities can contain price pressures and reduce fiscal burdens. He also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s investments in alternative routes to support continuity in energy supplies and trade, and emphasized the role of multilateral financial institutions in providing vulnerable economies with financing, technical assistance and policy advice.
