The Cabinet Secretariat, Japan Financial Services Agency, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry published the Human Capital Visualization Guidelines (Revised Edition), updating guidance on how companies present and disclose human capital information. The revised materials are positioned as a practical framework to help companies develop human resources strategies linked to management strategy and disclose human capital investment in ways that support constructive dialogue with investors. The package includes the revised guidelines, an attachment on strategy-focused human capital disclosure structured around investors’ expectations, and examples of linking management and human resources strategies with corresponding disclosed indicators. The content was reviewed by the Study Group on Visualization of Non-Financial Information established in the Cabinet Secretariat, with the Financial Services Agency and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry participating as observers. Further appendices, including a summary of disclosure standards and disclosure examples and a collection of reference materials, are to be released later.
