The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) co-chaired a joint ASEAN Working Committee on Capital Market Development (WC-CMD) and ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) meeting alongside the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Securities Commission Malaysia, focused on taking stock of regional capital market development initiatives. Discussions covered updates on the ASEAN Economic Community, progress under the Infrastructure Finance Working Group and Sustainable Finance Working Group, disclosure-related work, input from the Industry Advisory Panel Working Group, developments linked to the Asia GX Consortium, and the Joint Sustainable Finance Working Group Work Plan 2024–2025, with a presentation from the Asian Development Bank. The meeting was hosted in Penang by Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance and Central Bank of Malaysia, facilitated by Sustainable Finance Institute Asia, and attended by representatives from the 10 ASEAN member countries and other participants including the ASEAN Secretariat and the Financial Service Authority of Japan.
