The Czech National Bank published results from the latest STEM survey showing that 77% of the Czech population trusts the central bank. That keeps the CNB among the country’s most trusted public institutions and marks its highest trust reading in the past decade. The survey was conducted in the second half of June. Trust in the CNB has risen steadily since 2023, when it stood at 61%. Only the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, at 95%, and the Police of the Czech Republic, at 81%, ranked higher. The release links the increase in trust in part to the CNB’s delivery on its price stability mandate, noting that inflation has remained close to the 2% target since the start of 2024.
