The Chile Financial Market Commission (CMF) announced that 11 providers of payment processing services may continue carrying out cross-border processing operations after submitting statements of intention to adapt their activities to the regulated cross-border processing terms in Chapter III.J.2 of the Central Bank of Chile’s Compendium of Financial Standards. The authorised firms are ALPS SpA, EBANX Chile Limitada, Inversiones y Asesorías Integral Solutions SpA, PayU Chile S.A., Dlocal Chile SpA, Bamboo Payment Systems Chile SpA, PagSeguro Chile SpA, Payku SpA, PPRO Chile SpA, Flow S.A., and Pay Retailers Chile SpA. CMF linked this to the transitional provisions of Chapter III.J.2, as amended in July 2024. CMF’s draft regulation aligning its framework with the III.J series of chapters in the Compendium remains under consultation until February 7, 2025. Once the regulation is issued, all providers conducting cross-border processing will need to meet the applicable enrolment conditions by December 2025.
