The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo discussed strengthening its cooperation with the Center of Excellence in Finance, focusing on professional development, institutional capacity building and the exchange of international expertise and practices. Governor Ahmet Ismaili and Deputy Governor Nesrin Shileku-Shala met Center Director Jana Repanšek and Chief Strategy Officer Robert Bauchmueller during the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group. The discussions covered coordination of planned joint programs and activities, as well as organizational arrangements for regional events intended to support knowledge sharing and cooperation among institutions. Ismaili also outlined the central bank’s reforms and strategic priorities, linking continued professional development and stronger institutional capacity to the effective delivery of its mandate and alignment with international standards.
