The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has adopted a resolution approving regulations on minimum requirements for systems to counter internal and external fraud in microfinance organisations, aligning its regulatory acts with the Kyrgyz Republic’s Law on Microfinance Organisations. The regulation introduces mandatory requirements for the design and implementation of fraud detection systems that enable timely responses calibrated to the level of risk. The measures are intended to strengthen controls against internal and external fraud, improve operational security, and protect customer interests by upgrading fraud prevention arrangements.
