The Central Bank of Slovenia published an update on its efforts to improve financial literacy among children and young people, highlighting the Bodi FIN project run during the school year in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance. The initiative targeted fourth to ninth grade primary school students and concluded with a closing ceremony featuring speeches by Finance Minister Klemen Boštjančič and Acting Governor Primož Dolenc. Around 3,000 students from 85 primary schools participated, with mentors provided exercises to prepare students and additional in-school workshops delivered by Central Bank of Slovenia staff. A nationwide schools competition was held during Global Money Week, and 92 participants received gold awards. The programme covered topics including how banks function, saving, budgeting and online security, and was positioned as a step towards embedding financial knowledge more firmly in the education process.
