The Central Bank of Brunei Darussalam and Universiti Brunei Darussalam have signed a memorandum of understanding that formalises cooperation across joint research, publication activities, capacity building, information and data exchange, and event organisation. The MoU was signed on 4 February 2025 at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Bandar Seri Begawan, by the Central Bank of Brunei Darussalam’s Managing Director Hajah Rashidah binti Haji Sabtu and Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s Vice Chancellor Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle, and exchanged during the opening ceremony of Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s 1st International Conference on Islamic Finance & Sustainability 2025. The agreement is positioned as the start of a strategic partnership supporting Brunei Darussalam’s Wawasan 2035 aspirations.
