The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority has officially launched its 2026 summer training program for Egyptian university students, as part of its strategy to expand nonbank financial literacy, build youth skills and prepare students for the labor market through practical placements across the authority’s departments. The authority linked the program to its broader effort to develop a pipeline of talent able to support the nonbank financial sector. Demand for the program reached 7,480 applicants, more than double last year’s level. The intake process included awareness lectures for 441 trainees, qualifying tests for 333 candidates and the start of practical training for 228 students within the authority’s sectors. Training will run in three cohorts, with each group receiving one month of practical experience. The program targets students in disciplines tied to economic and financial activities, including accounting, insurance, actuarial studies, finance, computing and information, media and public relations, and law. The authority also framed the program as part of its wider financial awareness work, including efforts to connect academic study with practical experience and respond to rising participation by young people in the capital market and investment funds.
