Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) announced the launch of a nationwide outreach tour ahead of the 18th National Financial Education Week (SNEF) 2025, starting with university events in Puebla focused on improving financial wellbeing among young people. The main SNEF event will be held in Mexico City from 23 to 26 October at the Monument to the Revolution, alongside a digital edition running from 20 October to 31 December 2025. Activities in Puebla on 8 and 9 October are being delivered with Banamex’s Financial Education Directorate and in collaboration with Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla and Tecnológico de Monterrey (Puebla campus). The programme includes sessions on testing financial skills, the “three pillars” of financial education, and practical guidance on credit, with content covering financial health, credit management and retirement planning; CONDUSEF also referenced ENSAFI 2023 data showing that 25% of 18 to 29 year olds in Mexico save formally. The tour is set to continue in Guadalajara, Jalisco and other states as part of the run-up to SNEF 2025.
