The National Bank of Georgia reported that Vice Governor Nino Jeladze met with Talal F. Alhumoud, Vice Governor of the Saudi Central Bank, to discuss closer bilateral cooperation and the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding to support information and expertise sharing. The proposed cooperation would cover supervisory reforms, payment systems, financial technologies, and monetary policy. Jeladze presented information on Georgia’s macroeconomic indicators and financial sector, alongside discussions on the country’s investment environment and opportunities for innovative financial technologies and the attraction of financial institutions. The meeting was held at the Saudi Central Bank’s headquarters and included Saudi Central Bank representatives and officials from the Georgian Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
