The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority announced that its training arm, the Financial Services Institute, has completed a seven-day Executive Leadership Programme in London hosted by the Chartered Insurance Institute and delivered in partnership with Bayes Business School, University of London. The programme forms part of the authority’s strategy to build international academic and professional partnerships to develop human capital in Egypt’s non-banking financial sector, particularly insurance. The programme included 23 participants from Egyptian insurance companies and the authority. Training covered executive leadership, strategic planning, institutional transformation and an advanced workshop on management of the commercial insurance cycle. Participants also visited Lloyd’s of London to gain exposure to international market practices. Bayes Business School indicated that it is looking to expand the partnership through new training programmes for the Egyptian insurance sector.
