The Croatian National Bank has issued “200th Anniversary of Samobor Carnival” gold and silver collector coins under its Croatian Heritage collector coin series, commemorating one of Croatia’s oldest carnival traditions. The issue comprises gold coins in denominations of EUR 50 and EUR 20 and silver coins in denominations of EUR 8 (coloured) and EUR 4, to be sold by the Croatian Mint. Designed by sculptor Karlo Gross, the coins feature Princess Magpie as the central motif, with Carnival Prince, Judge and Advocate shown on the reverse. Mintages are limited to 200 pieces (EUR 50 gold), 500 pieces (EUR 20 gold), 300 pieces (EUR 8 silver coloured) and 1,500 pieces (EUR 4 silver); initial selling prices are expected to be around EUR 2,649.92, EUR 694.54, EUR 919.99 and EUR 209.99 respectively (VAT included for the silver coins), with purchase prices dependent on gold and silver market movements. The coins will be available for purchase as of 5 February 2026.

The Croatian National Bank has released gold and silver collector coins commemorating the 200th Anniversary of Samobor Carnival, with limited mintages and sales starting on 5 February 2026. The coins, designed by sculptor Karlo Gross, feature Princess Magpie and other carnival figures, with prices subject to market fluctuations.
