The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) reported that its vice president, Sonia Salvatierra, participated in the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Retail Investors Committee (C8) meeting in Singapore on 12–14 November, using the forum to present CNV work on investor protection and financial education. Discussions covered priorities for securities regulators including prevention of digital financial fraud, investor resilience, ethical use of artificial intelligence, and the results of World Investor Week 2025. Salvatierra framed CNV’s objectives as promoting innovation and capital market development while protecting investors, and pointed to the approval of a comprehensive Financial Education programme and the delivery of trainings, workshops, and open talks in both in-person and virtual formats. CNV also used the meeting to access international good practices, participate in specialized working groups, and strengthen ties with peer and multilateral bodies to support technical cooperation and modernization of its investor education and protection initiatives.
