The National Bank of Serbia reported that its IPS NBS instant payment system processed 609,155 payments on 15 May 2026, totaling RSD 8,443,290,628.46. This was the highest daily number of transactions since the system began operating. IPS NBS operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the year, allowing citizens and businesses to make payments at any time and from any location, with funds made available to the payee within seconds. The system started operating on 22 October 2018.
