The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority published an update on Chair Mohamed Farid inaugurating the sixth edition of the Egyptian Federation of Insurance Companies’ marathon, held under the theme 'We run together… we outrun risk with insurance', alongside senior figures from the authority, the insurance sector and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. In remarks delivered at the event, Farid linked the marathon to what he described as a qualitative shift in Egypt’s insurance activity following the issuance of the Unified Insurance Law, referencing measures intended to stimulate the sector, including allowing property insurance companies to operate in certain other lines of business and increasing insurers’ capital. The programme also included a football match between veteran Al Ahly and Zamalek players featuring Farid and federation chair Alaa El-Zoheiry, with additional activities focused on health awareness and inclusion, including dedicated participation by people with disabilities and awareness sessions run by the Egyptian Society of Cardiology.
