The Bank of Korea reported that seasonally adjusted broad money, or M2, increased 0.7% month on month in June 2026 to a period-average KRW 4,213.0 trillion. Narrow money, or M1, rose 0.4% to KRW 1,402.9 trillion. Liquidity of financial institutions increased 1.0% to a period-average KRW 6,368.7 trillion. Overall liquidity, measured at period-end, grew 0.8% to KRW 8,115.3 trillion. On an unadjusted year-on-year basis, M1, M2, financial institution liquidity and overall liquidity rose 10.0%, 6.0%, 8.5% and 9.4%, respectively.

Bank of Korea reports 0.7% rise in broad money in June
The Bank of Korea reported that seasonally adjusted M2 rose 0.7% month on month in June 2026, while M1 increased 0.4%. Financial institution liquidity grew 1.0%, and overall liquidity increased 0.8%.
