The Bank of the Lao held the 13th expanded meeting of its Party Executive Committee (term IV), focusing on reviewing its 2024 leadership and work performance, setting 2025 priorities, and considering draft documents including a five-year banking sector development plan for 2026-2030. The meeting, attended by 95 participants including Party bodies, regional branch heads and relevant staff, also covered study of resolutions from the ninth plenary session of the Party Central Committee (term IX) and the eighth ordinary session of the National Assembly (term IX). Participants discussed guidance on campaigns, competitions and commendations linked to commemorations in 2025, and provided comments on the draft annual assessment and 2025 plan, as well as a draft political report and the draft 2026-2030 banking-sector development plan. The draft political report and the 2026-2030 development plan are intended for submission to the Fifth Congress of the Bank of the Lao Party organisation, with follow-through to implementation at central and local units.
