The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority’s company incorporation and licensing committee approved the establishment of two Bakra investment funds and granted new licences or activity extensions for three firms across securities and non-banking financial services. The approvals covered the incorporation of Bakra Real Estate Investment Fund and Bakra Investment Fund for Metals, licensing Tilda Securities Trading to receive subscriptions for investment fund units, licensing Trend Holding for Financial Investments to participate in the incorporation of securities-issuing companies or in their capital increases, and allowing TrueFinance Financial Leasing to add factoring to its existing corporate purpose. The release also reiterated that the committee’s mandate, under the FRA Chairman’s 2023 decision, includes approving incorporation and licensing, requests to add activities, and other supervisory approvals for regulated non-banking financial services firms.
