The Central Bank of West African States has published the list of structures authorised to operate as payment institutions, in line with Instruction No. 001-01-2024 on payment services in the West African Monetary Union (UMOA). As of 15 September 2025, 30 structures had been licensed across the union. The authorised payment institutions are distributed as follows: two in Benin, two in Burkina Faso, nine in Côte d'Ivoire, one in Guinea-Bissau, two in Mali, one in Niger, 11 in Senegal and two in Togo. The Central Bank of West African States has released a list of 30 authorised payment institutions across the West African Monetary Union, in accordance with Instruction No. 001-01-2024 on payment services. The distribution includes nine in Côte d'Ivoire and 11 in Senegal, among others.
